Product Description
Quartz float ring is a high-temperature refractory component specially used in float glass production line, usually installed in tin bath (float kiln) to control the flow and surface flatness of glass liquid. Its main component is high-purity quartz sand (SiO₂ content ≥ 99%), made by high-temperature melting or sintering process, with extremely low thermal expansion coefficient and excellent surface finish, ensuring no pollution or deformation when in contact with molten glass.
1. Ultra-high temperature resistance: It can withstand high temperatures above 1500°C for a long time and adapt to the extreme environment during float glass molding.
2. Low thermal expansion coefficient: The thermal expansion coefficient is extremely low (≈0.5×10⁻⁶/°C), ensuring dimensional stability at high temperatures and avoiding cracking due to thermal stress.
3. Anti-corrosion of glass liquid: It has strong corrosion resistance to alkaline components in molten glass (such as Na₂O, K₂O), extending the service life.
4. Surface smoothness: The surface roughness after precision machining is ≤1μm, preventing glass liquid from adhering or scratching.
5. Excellent thermal shock resistance: Adapt to temperature fluctuations in the tin bath (such as heating and cooling rate ≤10°C/min), reducing the risk of cracking.
1. Float glass production: As the core component in the tin bath, it guides the glass liquid to spread evenly to form a flat glass ribbon; separates different areas of the tin bath to control the cooling gradient and redox environment of the glass liquid.
2. Special glass manufacturing: used in the float forming process of high-end products such as ultra-thin glass and electronic glass.
3. High temperature experimental equipment: glass liquid level control components of laboratory-level float simulation device.
